AUDITION NOTICE: Angry Housewives by A.M. Collins and Chad Henry

PERFORMANCE DATES: October 1st-18th, 2026

AUDITION REGISTRATION: Audition Registration: Click to Pre-Register for the audition. Without pre-registration, actors will be slotted in where possible.

SYNOPSIS: Angry Housewives is a popular, satirical 1980s punk-rock musical comedy about four frustrated women who form a punk band to win a local talent contest for cash and to escape their monotonous lives and oppressive men. Created by Seattleites A.M. Collins and Chad Henry, the show focuses on empowerment, suburban ennui, and 1980s feminism, featuring high-energy numbers and a “raucous” finale.

IN PERSON AUDITIONS

Auditions will be held at Redemption Church (15305 Main St NE, Duvall, WA  98019) on the following dates:

June 8th – 6:30-9PM

June 9th – 6:30-9PM

June 11th – 6:30-9PM – Callbacks/additional slots (if needed)

If you are unavailable for an in-person audition, please submit a video audition to auditions@cctplays.org

Please bring/prepare:

  • A resume and headshot (if available)
  • Audition application (will be mailed to you directly)
  • 30-60 second Musical Theatre song that showcases your vocal style and range
  • 30-60 second Rock song of choice that showcases your vocal style and range
  • A short comedic monologue (preferred)
  • Be prepared to cold read selected parts from the script

VIDEO AUDITIONS 

Attending in-person auditions is ideal. However, if you are unavailable during the posted audition times, please submit the following by Wednesday, June 10th at 5:00:

  • Video of you performing a short monologue (see guidelines above)
  • A current photograph (head to toe)
  • A 30-60 second musical song (see guidelines above)
  • A 30-60 second rock song (see guidelines above)
  • Fill out the audition form (sent via email)

AUDITION POLICY: All roles, unless otherwise announced, are open. CCT encourages anyone who is interested to audition and is always eager to welcome new faces and fresh talent to its stage. We encourage people of diverse backgrounds and abilities to audition for our productions.

REHEARSALS: 

Music Rehearsals: June 15 – July 18 (times TBD)

Tentative Show Rehearsals: Mondays, Tuesdays OR Wednesdays, Thursdays starting July 19

Please be prepared to attend all called rehearsals, tech, and performances
