Our Youth Program is the perfect opportunity for kids to make new friends\, learn exciting theatre skills and shine in a live performance! \nRehearsals will begin on February 10th\, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-7:15pm at Redemption Church HUB\, 15305 Main St NE\, Duvall. Performances are planned for April 24 & 25 (grades 3-5) and May 1 & 2 (grades 6-8). \nTuition is $125 per student. You can register HERE. DESCRIPTION:When Andy Dufresne is convicted of murder and sentenced to life in Shawshank prison\, he must use his wits and newly forged friendships\, namely a character known as Red\, but keeps himself and his hope alive. Over time Andy finds a way to live out life with as much relative ease as one can find in prison\, leaving a message for all that while the body may be locked away in a cell\, the spirit can never be truly imprisoned. But will he be able to survive the corruption and danger he faces within this notorious prison’s walls? Based on the novella by Stephen King and popularized by the highly acclaimed movie\, The Shawshank Redemption is a story of resilience and a theatrical experience like no other. \nBased on the 1994 movie\, this play is set in a maximum security prison and includes strong profanity\, violence\, suicidal ideation\, and a theatricalization of sexual assault.
