AUDITION POLICY: All roles, unless otherwise announced, are open. CCT encourages anyone who is interested to audition and is always eager to welcome new faces and fresh talent to its stage. Cascade Community Theatre has a non-discrimination casting policy, open to people of all ages, ethnic/national origins, races, sexes, creeds, orientations, and abilities. We encourage people of diverse backgrounds and abilities to audition for our productions. Due to violent/ sexual themes, we will not be accepting minors as auditionees for this show. All cast members will play multiple characters- the breakdowns can be found below.
AUDITION FORM: Click to Pre-Register for the audition. This is in place of our traditional printed audition form. Without pre-register, actors will be seen in the order in which they check in after registration.
SYNOPSIS: Told through 7 vignettes, this collection of funny, sweet, silly, poignant and stylistically diverse short plays from New York favorite Adam Szymkowicz has something for everyone. From the awkwardness of asking out a pizza store clerk, to a campy infidelity revenge comedy, to the couple destined to be together no matter the obstacles, 7 Ways to Say I Love You explores heart, grief, pain, and humor as the plays dance around the eternal human theme of love.

VIDEO AUDITIONS
Attending in-person auditions is ideal. However, if you are unavailable during the posted audition times, please submit the following by Sunday, April 12th, by 7pm:
- Video of you performing a 1-minute monologue
- A current headshot
- Attachment or link to your theatre resume

REHEARSALS: Rehearsals will be M-TH starting May 4th. Not every actor will be called to every rehearsal.
AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:
Auditions will consist of a monologue and cold readings of selections from the script. Please contact Sarah or Angel, at 7wayscct@gmail.com if you have any questions.
MONOLOGUE: Prepare a 1-minute dramatic or comedic monologue.
READINGS FROM THE SCRIPT: Auditionees may also be asked to stay and read selections from the script.
CHARACTER BREAKDOWNS
April/ Melinda 18-30, F or F Presenting
April works at a pizza parlor, is independent, and living her life one day at a time. April has romantic scenes with John. Melinda is the David-Attenborough-style narrator of the Critic’s documentary. She is quick witted and has exceptional comedic timing.
John/ Critic 18-30, M or M Presenting
John is hungry for pizza. He typically has his head on straight, but melts for April. Critic is a pretentious journalist who got stuck with tickets to a play that no one in the office wanted to review. He goes. It sucks.
Dick/ George 25-50, M or M Presenting
Dick is a noir-type detective who believes he is cheating on his significant other. The tables turn. Dick’s scene with Jessica includes a murder by gunshot. George is a new manager in the office. He is extremely quirky and charming, and does not understand context clues. George has a romantic scene with Jane.
Jessica/ Jane 25-50, F or F Presenting
Jessica is a twin, who is impersonating her sister impersonating herself. She is smart, in love, and out for revenge. Jessica’s scene with Dick includes a murder by gunshot. Jane is a kind and caring office worker who is equally as awkward as her new boss, George. Jane has a romantic scene with George.
Miss Moneypenny/ Jamie/ Doctor 25-50, F or F Presenting
Miss Moneypenny is not sure of herself or what she wants, and has conversations with herself through her house cat. She is getting ready to go on a date. Jamie is struggling with anger management and violence. She is depressed and feels alone. Doctor is a narrative device with few lines. They are breaking news to John and April.
Cat/ Trina: F or F Presenting
Cat is a sassy feline who is only looking out for her owner by trying to persuade Moneypenny to not leave the house for her date. Cat wants a pampered life that this new man will not provide. Trina is struggling with trauma and anxiety. Trina has a dramatic monologue.
